NCOC announces an end to Covid-19 restrictions across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has announced an end to the Covid-19 restrictions across the country.

Addressing a joint press conference along with Dr Faisal Sultan on Wednesday, NCOC Chairman Asad Umar said that Pakistan is near to becoming a corona-free country. "As a result, restrictions have been lifted from marriages, indoor dining and markets. Moreover, restrictions have been removed from religious congregations and sports activities," he announced.

He said that Pakistanis have countered the epidemic like a nation.

Meanwhile in a tweet on Wednesday, NCOC Chairman Asad Umar said that it was decided in the NCOC meeting today to lift all restrictions except the vaccination restrictions.

"All those who are not vaccinated must get fully vaccinated so that they can avoid all restrictions. We will continue to monitor disease pattern closely and take action if needed," he added.
