ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to reduce restrictions in eight cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpinid, Quetta, Peshawar, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Skardu, from October 1.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, NCOC Chairman Asad Umar said that the removal of restrictions had been linked to vaccination. "There will be full permission to open shrines in these cities," he added.

Asad Umar said that permission had been granted to fully open cinemas and recreational spots for the vaccinated people. "Up to 1,000 people are allowed to attend outdoor congregations. However, the policy of a weekly leave will continue," he maintained.

He said that restrictions will be imposed in the cities having less than 40 percent vaccination. "Passengers will be provided with meal in flights from October 1. However, restrictions will remain in place in Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Bahawalpur till October 15," he added.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan said that children less than 12 years will also be vaccinated. "The vaccination is going on well. Citizens should extend assistance. Pregnant women can also get coronavirus vaccination," he added.
