NCOC expresses concern over surge in coronavirus cases

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has expressed its concern over an increase in coronavirus cases during a meeting on Saturday.

Minister for Planning Asad Umar presided over the meeting. The meeting observed that the ratio of positive cases has increased to 5-6 percent.

It said that increased cases are being reported from Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The NCOC directed all units of the federation to strictly implement the Coronavirus SOPs. It appreciated the steps taken by Punjab to contain the epidemic.

It said that the smart lockdown was being considered in Islamabad, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The NCOC observed that the decision to impose a ban on international flights will be made in consultation with all parties.
