NCOC expresses serious concerns over violations of COVID-19 SOPs

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Thursday expressed serious concerns over violations of coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by the citizens.

 According to the reports, a meeting of NCOC was held under chair the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar. The forum was briefed about implementation of anti-coronavirus guidelines.

The meeting was told that national positivity rate has surged to 7.5 per cent and there is need of in depth review of enforcement of guidelines and SOPs.

NCOC has said that violations of social distancing and mandatory mask wearing are being reported and asked provincial governments to strictly enforce SOPs.

Urges people to be careful of new Corona strain

Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has asked the people to be very careful as the new strain of Covid spreads faster and is more deadly.

In a tweet, he said hospital daily admissions and people in critical care are rising fast. He said if SOP compliance does not improve, we will be forced to place stronger restrictions on activities.
