NCOC issues new advisory for overseas passengers, reduces international flights to 20%

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday issued for overseas passengers, reducing the international flights by 80 per cent from May 5 to 20.

An 11-member management committee has been formed for the implementation of the air travel policy. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan will head the committee.

According to a press release issued by the NCOC, Pakistan has decided to significantly reduce inbound international air travel to 20% of total current quantum.

It said that Pakistani passport holders (stranded/short term visa) are allowed to travel to Pakistan subject to exemption by the committee as per procedures in vogue.

The NCOC said that the restrictions will be reviewed on May 18. "The NDMA will be bound to provide the PCR kits at international airports.

After their arrival, all passengers will be sent to quarantine centres.
