Negative politics not in interest of Pakistan: PM Nawaz

LONDON (92 News) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that negative politics is not in the interest of Pakistan. He was talking to media persons in London after his arrival from Switzerland where he attended the World Economic Forum in Davos. "The politicians should not make such attempts that can block the way to progress, he said. Everyone should work hard for the development of the country," he said. Highlighting his government's achievements, he said Pakistan's stock market has achieved first position in Asia while it has become 5th in the world. Pakistan's economic indicators are positive and the country is on the path of progress, he said. He hoped the country will cross five percent GDP growth in coming fiscal year as the government is focusing on all crucial sector of economy. He said 55 billion dollars are being invested in the country under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Nawaz Sharif said this gigantic corridor project would not only benefit Pakistan but also prove to be a game changer for the entire region. He said there is a significant decrease in loadshedding and it would be a thing of the past very soon. Nawaz Sharif said terrorism in the country has been curtailed due to operation Zarb-e-Azb. The Prime Minister said his Davos visit was very successful where he met with various business and world leaders. He said they all are appreciative of Pakistan's liberal economic policy and business friendly environment. The Prime Minister said during his stay in Switzerland he highlighted Pakistan's economic strength in an effective manner and presented the country as a secure investment destination.
