Neither lawyers allowed to cross-examine nor they permitted to present witnesses: Ali Zafar

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Barrister Ali Zafar, counsel for the PTI founder, has said that neither their lawyers were allowed to cross-examine nor they were permitted to present the witnesses.

Talking to the media, he said that the verdict had been announced in the meantime when they were moving the Islamabad High Court (IHC). "The verdict cannot be announced without recording the statement of the accused," he added.

He hoped that the apex court would nullify the verdict.

Reacting to the verdict, Barrister Gohar Ali said that the PTI founder was being sentenced to please a leader. "He has not been allowed to cross-examine. No such verdict was announced in the past. It will not last long," he added.
