NEPRA approves Rs 2.08 per unit cut in power tariffs

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an Rs 2.08 per unit reduction in the power tariffs. The reduction has been announced under the monthly fuel adjustment formula. The consumers will get the relief in coming months. The decision was taken after a public hearing on a petition filed by Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA) on behalf of the distribution companies. The CPPA had requested the Nepra to reduce the electricity price due to reduction in the prices of furnace oil and high-speed diesel in the international market.
