NEPRA approves RS 3.94 per unit reduction in power tariff

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday approved 3.94 rupees per unit reduction in power tariff for April under monthly fuel adjustment formula. The regulator approved the tariff reduction on a petition filed by Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA). The hearing was presided over by Vice Chairman NEPRA. The relief would be given in billing of June. The average cost of per unit remained at Rs.4.21 against the reference price of Rs.7.62 per unit in April. The reduction will not be applicable to the consumers of K-Electric and those who used upto 300 units. The relief would be given in billing of June.
