NEPRA approves Rs9.90 per unit increase in power rate

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday approved an increase of Rs9.90 per unit in the power rate under the head of the monthly fuel adjustment.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested for an increase of Rs9.91 per unit to be applicable to the bills of August. Under the adjustment of May, an amount of Rs7.91 was charged from consumers.

However, consumers of lifeline and K-Electric will be exempted from the increase.
