NEPRA increases power tariff by Rs 1.95 per unit

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to increase the electricity rate by Rs 1.95 paisas per unit.

After the increase, the power rate has been fixed at Rs 1.33 per unit.

The average tariff has been increased from Rs 14.38 per unit to Rs 16.33 per unit. The increase will be equally applicable on the consumers of up to 50 units.

The increase will further burden the masses with Rs 200 billion.
