NEPRA increases power tariff for Karachi’s domestic consumers

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased power tariff for Karachi’s domestic consumers by 80 percent. The slab benefit to higher consumption has been withdrawn by the federal government, leading to an increase of Rs2 to Rs4.28 per unit for various domestic consumers. The tariff for consumers using 300 units has been increased by Rs 2, while consumers using 700 has been increased by Rs 3.6. Meanwhile, for consumers using above 700 units has been increased by Rs 2.9. Similarly, Rs 4 have been increased for the domestic consumers during peak hours and Rs 4.28 have been increased during off-peak hours.
