NEPRA issues show cause notice to K-Electric over power breakdown

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday issued a show cause notice to K-Electric over the power breakdown in Karachi. The NEPRA has asked K-Electric to submit a reply within 15 days. A spokesman for the NEPRA said that K-Electric has failed to fulfill the terms of its license. “The company has also failed to increase its power capacity,” he said. He added that the company has not made back-up arrangement in case of a power breakdown.
