ISLAMABAD (92 News) - NEPRA has approved to make electricity cheaper by 32 paisas per unit. The reduction in electricity price is supported by fuel adjustment charges.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) requested to increase the price of electricity by 25 paisas. NEPRA has approved to reduce the price by 32 paisas per unit.

As per the ongoing notification, electricity has been reduced for the erstwhile distribution companies of WAPDA due to October fuel adjustment charges, which was heard on November 29.

According to NEPRA, consumers were charged an increase of 8 paisa per unit in September as part of the fuel charges adjustment, which was implemented only for one month, while the October FCA charge was 40 paisas per unit less than in September. will be done, which will be applicable only on December monthly bills. Reduction in electricity price will not be applicable to electric consumers.
