NEPRA reduces power tariff by Rs3.60 per unit for agricultural consumers

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - On the application of the Energy Ministry, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) announced an Rs3.60 per unit decrease for the agricultural consumers.

The per unit price for the agricultural consumers has been reduced to Rs13 from Rs16.60.

On December 14, the Energy Ministry had submitted the application for reduction in the tariff to the NEPRA. The decease will be applicable to the agricultural consumers of all DISCOs, including K-Electric.

Owing to the decrease, the consumers will get a relief of Rs28 billion. The federal government will pay the price under the head of the subsidy.
