Netflix's 'Wish Your Death' kicks off production, promises chilling YA horror
SEOUL (Web Desk) Netflix has confirmed the production of its upcoming YA horror series Wish Your Death (working title), set to send shivers down viewers’ spines.
The series follows five high school friends who receive ominous death warnings after using a mysterious wish-granting app, Girigo. Initially dismissed as a harmless prank, the app soon proves to be deadly, revealing a chilling connection to the sudden death of a classmate.
Starring Jeon So-young as Se-ah, a determined track athlete, the series also features Kang Mi-na as Na-ri, a popular girl who dismisses the app’s curse, and Baek Sun-ho as Geon-woo, Se-ah’s secret boyfriend.
Hyun Woo-seok plays Ha-joon, a coding expert trying to unravel the app’s mysteries, while Lee Hyo-je portrays the prankster Hyeong-wook, whose life is turned upside down after making a wish.
Directed by Park Yoon-seo, known for his work on Kingdom and Moving, the series promises a blend of suspense and the occult, as the friends struggle to escape their fates and uncover the dark secrets behind the app.
Wish Your Death is set to debut soon, exclusively on Netflix.
