PESHAWAR (92 News) - Mian Aslam Iqbal, who has been nominated by the PTI for the slot of the Punjab chief minister, said that he had never talked about anarchy during his 39-year political career.

Addressing a press conference after securing a transit bail from the Peshawar High Court on Wednesday, he said that the country would suffer a loss by insulting the parliament.

"The mandate of the people should be respected. The seats won by the PTI-backed candidates should be returned," he added.

He said that the PTI founder had left the electable candidates speechless. "Now our candidates are being coerced to join the PTI. The victory notifications of the candidates not succumbing to the pressure are being cancelled," he added.

He claimed that the PTI had made a clean sweep in Peshawar. "The coalition government had destroyed each institution during its 16-month tenure," he added.

Referring to the May 9 incidents, Mian Aslam Iqbal said that the culprits must be punished.
