New rain system enters Pakistan

LAHORE/FAISALABAD (92 News) – A new system of rain has been entered into the country as intermittent rain in Lahore and other parts of the country, including Islamabad on Wednesday turned the weather cold again. The light rain with cool winds at different areas of the country and snowfall over the hills made the weather pleasant and allowed the citizens, already worried about the coming hot summers, to relax a bit. Widespread rain with wind-thunderstorm is expected in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad and Narowal districts from Wednesday to Saturday, weather forecast said. Rain with dust-thunderstorm is also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Pashin, Harnai, Ziarat, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Okara, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Jacobabad and Larkana districts from Wednesday to Thursday. Dust raising winds are expected in lower Sindh including Karachi on Thursday and Friday. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, strong westerly weather system entered upper parts of the country on Wednesday and likely to grip upper and central parts on Thursday and persist till Saturday. The Met Office has predicted more rain in different parts of the country during next 24 hours. On the other hand, intermittent rains are expected in Karachi today, Pakistan Meteorological Department had predicted light showers across the country prior. The MET department said that skies will remain dusky throughout the day while the temperature of the city is expected to remain at 31-degree centigrades.
PSL matches likely to be disturbed due to cloudy weather
According to the weather department, Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches could likely to be disturbed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Rawalpindi and Lahore.
