CJP takes suo motu notice of amputation of newborn’s fingers on 92 News report

LAHORE (92 News) – Taking action on a report aired on 92 News regarding burning the hand of a newborn at Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar took a suo motu notice of the matter. The CJP has ordered a report on the issue of cutting the fingers of the baby. The CJP also directed Punjab chief secretary and medical director to submit details about the faulty ventilators at Services Hospital. A hand of a newborn was burnt due to the negligence of doctors in Ganga Ram Hospital last Monday. Khurram, a resident of Shahdara, had brought the newborn to hospital for respiratory complication and she was admitted to ICU. After a few hours, newborn’s family went to see him and found his hand severely burnt.
