Newly-appointed COAS Gen Asim Munir, CJCSC Gen Sahir Shamshad call on PM Shehbaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Newly-appointed Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif separately at PM House on Thursday.
The prime minister congratulated both officers on their appointment. They thanked the prime minister for reposing confidence in them. Both officers exchanged their views on professional matters of the Pak Army as well as internal and external security and border security.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said: "I am sure that Pakistan's defence will become more stable under your leadership."
He paid glowing tributes to officers and jawans who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the country. "You (both top officers) have been selected keeping in view your professional and operational capabilities," he added.
