Newly-elected National Assembly members sworn in

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The newly-elected members of the National Assembly took the oath on Thursday.

NA Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf administered the oath to the newly-elected members. After taking the oath, all MNAs, including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Omar Ayub Khan and Amir Dogar signed the Roll of Members turn by turn.

During the session, the MNAs belonging to the Sunni Ittehad Council chanted slogans despite being stopped by the speaker repeatedly. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Marriyum Aurangzeb and Assefa Bhutto were also present in the gallery. The speaker issued a warning to the people present in the gallery. Later, the security guards expelled the people who continued to chant slogans from the gallery.
