News Leaks report made public, Tariq Fatemi removed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has made the News Leaks report public, while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved recommendations of the committee.

The prime minister ordered to implement the report in letter and spirit. The Para 18 of the committee report has also been approved. 

Under the committee’s recommendations, the portfolio of Adviser to the PM on Foreign Affairs has been withdrawn from Tariq Fatemi.

Action has been ordered against Rao Tehseen.

Former Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has been given a clean chit as he has not been mentioned in the report.

However, the matter of the reporter has been sent to the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) for necessary disciplinary action.
