NHSRC confirms presence of South African, Brazilian coronavirus variants in country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination (NHSRC) has confirmed the presence of South African and Brazilian coronavirus variants in the country.

According to the NHSRC officers, the new coronavirus variants have been found in the tests conducted at National Institute of Health. "We have started contact tracing of the new cases," they disclosed.

They said that protection lies in following the SOPs no matter what kind of virus is. "People should not come out of their houses unnecessarily and ensure wearing of the masks," they advised.

They asked the people above 40 years and over to get the vaccination.
