Five majors among 12 martyred in army helicopter crash in Mansehra

MANSEHRA (92 News) – Twelve people, including five majors, were martyred when an army helicopter crashed at Lassan Nawab, Mansehra, on Thursday. KPK Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani said that the helicopter was going to Gilgit from Rawalpindi for medical help. The helicopter was going to bring an injured youth from Gilgit. As many as 12 people, including pilot, paramedics and doctors, were boarding the helicopter. The martyred people are: Maj Dr Usman of MH Rawalpindi, Maj Hamayun, Maj Dr Shahzad, Maj Dr Atif, Maj Muzammal, Havaldar Munir Abbasi, Naik Amir Saeed, OT Maqbool, Nursing Assistant Amanullah, Sepoy Waqar and Sepoy Rahmatullah. The incident occurred due to bad weather. Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed grief over the tragedy. He prayed for the martyred officials. Earlier, a Pakistan Air Force helicopter carrying relief good for flood affectees made emergency landing in Chitral. However, three people were injured in this incident .
