NOWSHERA (92 News) – Nine people, including police personnel, were injured on Wednesday when an explosive device blew up while defusing explosive material in Azakhel Payan area of district Nowshera. According to the reports, they were defusing the device when it detonated. Meanwhile, rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Lady Reading Hospital. In the month of April this year, a terrorism bid was foiled in DERA MURAD JAMALI and a bomb device planted at railway track near Notal area was defused. A terrorism suspect who had planted the bomb device at railway track was killed in an exchange of fire with policemen. The bomb disposal unit was called, which defused the device planted at the track, police officials said.
Two killed, seven injured in Quetta blast
A day earlier, two people were killed while seven injured in a blast near Haideri Market on Mission Road. According to rescue sources, the injured have been shifted to hospital and being provided medical treatment. Meanwhile, security forces have reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

On July 30, Five people, including a policeman, were killed and 32 others injured in a blast near a vehicle of the security forces at Meezan Chowk. Three of the injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital. Law enforcement agencies have reached the site and cordoned off the area. According to the preliminary report, 5-6 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast. The condition of six injured is stated to be critically. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed grief over profound loss of precious lives in the blast.
