KARACHI (92 News) – The nine-month-old baby, who was paralyzed after being injected a wrong injection, laid to rest in Karachi on Monday. The funeral prayers of Nishwa were offered, in which, the relatives, residents, social and political personalities attended the ceremony. Everyone expressed sorrow on the death of nine-month baby girl. She was died on Monday. Nishwa was admitted to Liaquat National Hospital after her condition deteriorated at Darul Sehat. The police have arrested Dr Sobia responsible for administering the wrong injection. On the other hand, FixIt staged a protest demonstration against the hospital administration. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Nishwa. “We had planned her treatment abroad. She lost her life despite all-out efforts to save her life,” he said. The chief minister the victim’s parents would be provided justice.
Suspect involved in injecting Nishwa wrong injection sent to remand
A court in Karachi on Monday sent the suspect Agha Muez – allegedly involved in injected of wrong injection to Nishwa – to physical remand until April 20. Nine-month-old girl Nishwa was administered wrong injection by a male nurse, Agha Muez, at Darul Sehat Hospital. The Shahrae Faisal police produced the suspect before court. Police said the suspect injected the girl wrong injection against instructions of the doctor.
SP ordered to leave post for threatening girl’s family
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Police Dr Amir Sheikh has suspended Superintendent Police (SP) Gulshan Tahir Noorani after threatening father of Nishwa, the nine-year-old girl who wrongly injected injection by Darul Sehat Hospital’s administration. The AIG Karachi ordered the authorities to complete the case inquiry within 48 hours.SP Tahir Noorani was seen in a video footage threatening family to withdraw the case against the hospital administration and telling them ‘the hospital wouldn’t suffer, instead you will bear the brunt of problems… ”SP Gulshan Tahir Noorani also threatened the girl’s father, Qaiser Ali, with severe consequences over raising voice against criminal negligence of the hospital administration which paralysed a minor girl due to the administration of wrong injection. Qaiser Ali, father of paralyzed girl, told that he received direct threats from the high ranking police officer, who forced him to withdraw his demands for action against the hospital. Murtaza Wahab said that the government has directed related authorities to provide security to the affected family besides opening an investigation against SP Gulshan Tahir Noorani over threatening the father of the paralysed girl.
