Nine-year-old boy badly tortured by cops in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – A nine-year-old boy was subjected to severe torture by policemen in Lahore on Tuesday. The police arrested Ahmed, a resident of Green Town, on the charge of mobile phone theft and took him to the police station. The policemen forced the boy to sit on a burning heater and an iron. His relatives said that the policeman had stripped Ahmed and forced him to sit on the burning heater. His father said that a boy asked Ahmed to sit in the shop and took away a mobile phone. The boy had introduced Ahmed as his brother. After taking away the mobile phone, the boy did not return. The shopkeeper handed Ahmed to police when the boy did not return. His father said they had submitted an application to the Green Town police bout his missing. He said that they received a call from the Raiwind police who asked them to take away their boy. Meanwhile, the Lahore CCPO took notice of the incident and suspended the responsible policemen.
