“Ninety Two” to 92”

We usually come across and face the events that sometimes dispel the mist that have clogged our minds and innate sense of judgment, that not only create trepidation but occasionally guide us to a solution. Today, I finally see the glory that would have its footprints embossed for miles journey. I am Sobia Cheema working as an Executive producer (EP) in 92 News. Working as an EP in a yet to establish platform is not only challenging but an opportunity as well that I am dwelling from the years of experience I have gained from this industry. Today, I can state that with right devotion and guidance, there is nothing that cannot be achieved. I have always heard that it takes a step to accomplish a miles journey but never before today experienced it. I am writing to portray a patch of this glorious journey that will embark me for the rest of my life. It’s a journey from name “Ninety Two” to “92” December 4^th 2013, unaware of the opportunity coming my way leading me to this day, where I am considering myself an achiever, not only by being a pioneer to this organization but a contributor to the enthralling media industry of Pakistan. The righteous “92 News” not only added some glorious lines to my resume but also gave me lifelong lesson that if we believe in something, we can surely achieve it as well. All we need is the devotion and endeavor to mediate the redundant hurdles blinding us to achieve the goal. Initiating a channel is not a piece of cake but a treacherous path we only can drift in anticipation of the time it will launch. It is almost like building your house; leading a team, facing challenges, generating ideas, executing them, making budgets, devolving concepts, cutting costs, taking senior’s expertise. On other hand some dismal times, laying back at my office chair taking a deep breath – gathering motivation. However, the delight to finally see the light of a full-fledged program ready to be aired entails all the aforementioned factors that I have faced. The sensation of my presence in my news channel and working to make it stand on its feet is in itself a mellifluous feeling. I cannot describe in words about how I feel; all I can say is that, I pray to ALLAH SWT to bless our whole team’s effort in making 92 News a successful news channel in years to come. Last but not least… I'm thankful for my years spent with this family, for everything we shared, every chance we had to grow. I'll take the best of them with me and lead by their example wherever I go. I’m thankful for the full support of Yousaf Baig Mirza Sb, without his guidance and presence around us, we would not have the opportunity to see this glorious revolution and lastly, we are all grateful to Mian Rasheed sb for providing us the platform to transcend.
