No compromise on national interests, says PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that there will be no compromise on national interests. He was talking to officials after a briefing at Foreign Office on Friday. The prime minister said that country’s positive image will be highlighted in the world. “National interests will be given priority in the foreign policy,” he said. Imran Khan directed to improve performance of embassies, saying contacts should be made with overseas Pakistanis. He also ordered to use official resources in a better way. The prime minister ordered to make the foreign policy effective and active. “It is need of hour to establish friendly relations with neighbouring countries. The resolution of long-lasting issues with India is vital for the progress of the region,” he maintained. Imran Khan said that they will have to find out solution to the problems of overseas Pakistanis and give them respect. He also stressed to promote more ties with China. Earlier, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua briefed the prime minister on foreign affairs and financial issues.
