LAHORE (92 News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has said that there is no issue of coronavirus in the country. Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Saturday, he said that the government is taking precautionary measures and fear should not be spread in this regard. The minister said that coronavirus is spreading through the people coming from abroad. “Forty-four hospitals of the railways are ready for isolation on emergency basis,” he added. He said that the railways’ annual sports to be played on March 27 and 28 had been cancelled. “A spray will be conducted for cleanliness of stations and trains with regard to coronavirus,” he said. Sheikh Rasheed said that three freight trains had been given to the private sector and planning to give 10 more trains. “No train will be closed due to coronavirus. Fare dodgers are main reason behind deficit of the railways,” he added. He said that the railway is nothing except ML-I. The minister said that the PPP and the PML-N have died politically.
