LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said on Friday that there was no law of production order in the Punjab Assembly, its draft was rejected by former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif in his tenure. Speaking to the journalists outside Punjab Assembly, the chief minister said that the law of production order is present in National Assembly and the Senate but the PML-N NL has not made any such law in the Punjab Assembly. Chohan mentioned that the PML-N leadership is now making a noise for production order on the arrest of Khawaja brothers. He also said that NAB arrest Khawaja Saad Rafique for accountability of corruption not celebration for his birthday. “Saad should tell us how he became billionaire from riding the motorcycles,” the minister asked. On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed termed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate’s win in Thursday’s by-polls on the Punjab Assembly seat (PP-168) in Lahore a referendum on the party’s government. He said that the by poll was held on merit in PP-168, adding that the PML-N should ask for apologies about corruption instead creating chaos on poll rigging. He further said that the residents of Lahore routed former rulers, adding that they rid themselves of corrupt leaders.
