No major power breakdown took place in Karachi, says K-Electric

KARACHI (92 News) – K-Electric has submitted its report on prolonged and unannounced loadshedding in Karachi to National Electric Power Regularity Authority. The report stated that no major power breakdown took place in any part of the city. The report contains figures related to production and shortfall of electricity, while mentioning information regarding transmission and distribution system. The reasons for breakdown in the city have also been mentioned. NEPRA sources said that according to the report there was no technical fault in the city’s transmission system and there was not any breakdown in the city. K-Electric authorities said that they were using all resources for the production of electricity. NEPRA sources said that NEPRA will review the report and will take action accordingly.
