ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that there is no misunderstanding between the Army and the government while all matters have been resolved.

Addressing a meeting of the parliamentary party on Thursday, he said that no government had ever such better relations with the military leadership. "There was a technical fault over the appointment of the DG ISI, which has been removed," he said.

The prime minister dispelled the rumours spread regarding the appointment of the DG ISI. According to sources, the prime minister also discussed the political situation and took the members into confidence.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the parliamentary party was taken into confidence over the situation in Afghanistan. "The Pakistan role for peace in Afghanistan was also discussed during the meeting. Our priority is to avoid any humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan," he declared.

He said that the meeting had also discussed the steps to control inflation. "We will present the reasons behind inflation before the nation," he added.
