No power can undermine CPEC, says Ch Nisar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has on Monday said that the people would not face problem in confirmation of national identity card and action will be taken against those having fake ID cards. Inaugurating Islamabad Safe City Project in the capital, he said that several groups and countries are out to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, adding that the CPEC is no longer a dream but is turning into a reality. “Both China and Pakistan are long standing friends and their destinies are intertwined,” he said. He ministers said that no power can undermine the CPEC as people of two countries, their civilian and military leadership are committed to take it forward. Nisar said that Kulbhushan Yadav is an Indian spy, adding that he cannot be given counselor access. Previously, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said that he is glad that the new recruits were appointed purely on the basis of merit. Addressing passing out parade of police officers in Islamabad on Monday, he said incidents of terrorism have witnessed a visible decline, adding that the credit for this goes to security and intelligence agencies of the country. The minister said Islamabad will be made crime free city and in this regard, police personnel have significant role to play. The minister said that recruitments in police department are being made on merit and vowed to ensure transparency in recruitment for Rapid Response Force as well. As many as 47 women are among the 480 passed out police personnel.
