No question of weakness over Kashmir issue: FM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the entire nation is united over Kashmir issue and there is no question of weakness in this regard. Issuing policy statement in National Assembly, the foreign minister thanked all the house members who started debate on Kashmir issue. “There is no difference between the members and on Kashmir issue. We have no distribution and doubt over Kashmir issue and no question of weakness raise on this critical issue,” he added. FM Qureshi said that Kashmir issue has been internationalized after 1965 due to effective and prompt diplomacy of the government. He said this issue has been raised and discussed in US Congress, EU parliament, UNSC, OIC, and parliaments of various countries. He said that human rights organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have also supported Pakistan's stance of grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. He said about 70 heads of states, governments, and foreign ministers of different countries were contacted to sensitize the world community to highlight the Kashmir issue.
FM invites opposition to give suggestions over Kashmir issue
He invited the opposition to come forward to give its input and assured that every positive suggestion will be incorporated to highlight the current situation of Indian Occupied Kashmir. Speaking on occasion, opposition members called for declaring a diplomatic emergency to sensitize the international community over human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir at the hands of the Indian forces. They said an emergency summit of the OIC should be convened over human rights violations in Kashmir.
Pakistan jumped to 108th position from 136th position
Earlier, the National Assembly was informed that Pakistan has improved its position on ease of doing business index and has jumped to 108th position as compared to 136th position last year out of total 190 economies. Parliamentary Secretary for Finance Zain Hussain Qureshi informed the house that World Bank has placed Pakistan in the top ten best performers in ease of doing business. He said Moody's has improved Pakistan's economic outlook from negative to stable which is a great achievement of the economic policies of the government.
