No relief given to Nawaz, his right to get medical treatment abroad: Abbasi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Lashing out at the incumbent government, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that PML-N quid Nawaz Sharif has not been given any relief but it is his right to to get permission for medical treatment abroad. Speaking to the journalists on Tuesday, the PML-N senior leader said that the former premier should be given his right to travel abroad six months ago to get medical treatment. Khaqan Abbasi said that he was not part of an undemocratic setup and nor will be. He also alleged that the current governance system is 100 per cent non-democratic. The PML-N leader also termed that the federal government should admit his mistake by delaying permission to send Nawaz Sharif abroad. Khaqan Abbasi also claimed that he was being harassed but will not compromise on his principles. He maintained that he will not apply for bail at any cost. Accountability court in Islamabad has extended judicial remand of former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and  former finance minister Miftah Ismail and Imranul Haq till December 3 in liquefied natural gas (LNG) scandal. During the hearing, the court has directed the authorities to file reference against the accused as early as possible. Earlier, the NAB has prepared reference against former president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the LNG scandal. Inter-State Gas Systems Managing Director (MD) Mubin Saulat and former petroleum secretary Abid Saeed, who become an approver in the LNG case, appeared before NAB office and recorded their statements.
