ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ruled that there is no room for pre-arrest bail in the law. In a detailed verdict based on the explanation of pre-arrest bail written by Justice Qazi Amin on Saturday, it was ruled that a special provision was created in the court verdict to save the innocent from the arrest. According to the verdict, the objective of the special provision was to stop the humiliation of the innocent. “It is special concession which cannot be granted to each accused,” it ruled. It stated that evidences may go waste due to non-arrest of the accused. “A pre-arrest bail cannot be granted if there are evidences against the accused,” it ruled. The court ruled that Ghulam Farooq Channa faced the charge of preparing a fake death certificate. “Through the fake death certificate, precious land of a woman was occupied. Hence the accused does not deserve the concession of pre-arrest bail,” it ruled.
