No secret that country left behind, says Miftah Ismail

- Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that there is no secret that the country has left behind and now the world does not give Pakistan money.

Addressing a ceremony on Friday, he stressed the need for increasing exports and collecting taxes.

"The people took it bad when the government imposed a super tax. It is misunderstanding that the rich people do not pay taxes," he maintained.

He said that the poor consumers will not be affected by the increase in the power rates. "The government had to increase the petrol prices under compulsion. Inflation increased due to an increase in the petrol prices," he added.

The minister claimed that the government had saved the country from default by making difficult decisions.
