Non-bailable arrest warrants for Sahil Adeem issued

KARACHI (92 News) - A judicial magistrate in Karachi issued non-bailable arrest warrants for social media influencer Sahil Adeem in the case filed against him for allegedly using foul language against the Sindhi community.

Judicial Magistrate (South) Sher Muhammad ordered Sahil Adeem’s arrest and directed the authorities concerned to produce him in court by September 24.

Plaintiff Abdul Fateh Chandio Advocate expressed frustration over Sahil Adeem’s failure to appear before the court for over three months.

It is to be noted here that a case was registered against Sahil Adeem at the City Court police station for allegedly using foul language against the Sindhi community.

An application was also filed to place his name on the Exit Control List (ECL), and now the court has been moved to expedite his arrest.

It is worth mentioning here that a few months ago, Sahil Adeem’s remarks about women during a programme on a private TV channel drew public ire.

He said during the programme that 95 percent of women in the country were ‘jail’ (ignorant).
