Noor Muqaddam case: Court summons more witnesses on Nov 3

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani summoned more witnesses to testify in the Noor Muqaddam case on November 3.

In the written order, the judge observed that the hearing date has been fixed on the request of counsel for the accused.

The court also ordered the prosecution to present more witnesses on the said date. The order stated that the court had provided the statements recorded under Section 161 and other documents to the counsels for the accused in the presence of the prosecution.

The court said that it was a gender-based violence case and the High Court had directed to dispose of the case within two months.

It also stated that there was no legal hurdle in marking the attendance of the accused through the video link.

The statements of witnesses Abid Latif, Basharat Rehman and Aqsa Rani had been recorded and cross-examined.
