LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development has announced that the government is not closing the Orange Line project. Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said that billions of rupees of the poor people had been spent on the project. “The King has departed, but left us in trapped in loans,” he said. He also excused for the misbehavior of Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Haq Chohan. The minister said that no employee is working despite giving Rs 1.25 billion to the LWMC. “The NAB should declare if Imran Khan or Aleem Khan are guilty,” he said. He said that action should be taken against him if he embezzled the money. “I have been facing the media trial since 2015. I was the IT minister and my corruption should be exposed if I did it,” he claimed. Aleem Khan said that no decision had been made on kite-flying issue and the chief minister would make the final decision. He reiterated that the Orange Line project was a white elephant and an Rs 1,000 subsidy will have to be given to each passenger.
