LAHORE (92 News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed said that he is not in favour of applying the Article 6 to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he warned that Maulana Fazalur Rehman would be arrested if he again staged the sit-in in Islamabad. “Security institutions are standing with Prime Minister Imran Khan. The PML-N and the PPP will not launch a protest movement,” he added. He said that Bilawal Bhutto would not go to jail because these are his days to play. “Shehbaz Sharif wants to return by the end of March. However, Nawaz Sharif will not return and Maryam Nawaz will not go abroad,” he predicted. The minister said that the Turkish president’s tour was successful. “We have good relations with Turkey. We have talked to them to prepare trains. A shuttle service will be started from Lahore to Gujranwala on February 24 and its one-side fare will be Rs100,” he said. Sheikh Rasheed said that they would find out a solution to Karachi Circular Railway in consultation with Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. “The 50-foot railway land will be vacated from both sides of the track. We will complete the plan before February 28,” he added. He said that the Supreme Court had ordered to sell the railway properties and the deficit would end this year if they sold it out. He reiterated that inflation was their biggest enemy. “We have not agreed to the IMF’s direction to increase the power rate,” he said. The minister said that the government wants to take the economy ahead along with the institutions.
