ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Energy Ministry on Thursday issued a notification regarding an increase of Rs7.50 per unit in the power tariff.

After the increase, the basic tariff of power has increased to Rs42.72 and it will cost Rs50.41 per unit after levying the Sales Tax.

The new power rate will be applicable from July 1, 2023.

The monthly increase of Rs3 per unit has been made for consumers using Rs1-100 units, Rs4 per unit for consumers using Rs101-201 units (Rs22.95), Rs4 per unit for consumers using Rs101-201 units (Rs22.95), Rs5 per unit for consumers using Rs201-300 units (Rs27.14), Rs6.50 per unit for consumers using Rs301-400 units (Rs32.03), Rs7.50 per unit for consumers using Rs401-500 units (Rs35.24), Rs7.50 per unit for consumers using Rs501-600 units (Rs36.66), Rs7.50 per unit for consumers using Rs601-700 units (Rs37.80) and Rs7.50 per unit for consumers using above 700 units (42,72).
