NRO accusations surface when opposition calls for peace in NA: Kh Asif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) stalwart Khawaja Asif on Friday said that the National Reconciliations Ordinances (NRO) accusations were leveled when the opposition talked about peace in the National Assembly (NA). Addressing to the session of NA, he lashed out at the incumbent government and said, "Whenever his party talks about a friendly environment in the house, they are accused of seeking an NRO." Asif continued that none of the previous governments in Pakistan lost their credibility at the early stage of their regime as the PTI-led government did. “First 100-days, then three month and six month but after one year also this government is still facing downfall,” he added. “PTI government must be given more time so that they cannot complain they were not given enough time to prove themselves. Let them reveal themselves completely so that they do not jump on the containers again,” Khawaja Asif mentioned. He said his party wanted to run business in the House with sincerity and for the benefit of the common man. Asif said that if the sanctity of the constitution is violated, the government will be in danger. He added that measures that will put the government in danger should be avoided.
Nawaz Sharif not interested in becoming PM again
Khawaja Asif said his party supremo Nawaz Sharif was not interested in becoming the prime minister, again and again. He remarked that the PML-N respects judicial decisions.“First they removed Nawaz Sharif and then they arrested him, however, his stance was strengthened day by day,” said Asif. “Nawaz Sharif’s narrative is being popular with the passage of time. His slogan is to give respect to vote and that the Constitution is supreme. Let the people of Pakistan decide whether the PML-N should be in power or not.”
Turncoats responsible for rift between parties
Asif said people who changed their loyalties were to be blamed for the government-opposition rift. He also criticized that all political parties should give due importance to elected representatives, instead of turncoats and non-elected personalities. “There are some people who are getting spoiled after changing their political parties. They have a hand in the current political unrest in the country.” “All the people who are sitting in the first row of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government are passengers. The 10-year investigation commission should deal with them,” said the PML-N leader.
Rented people cannot complete Imran Khan’s agenda
“If someone goes abroad for medical treatment, the government condemns them. But to fix the economy of the country, they have brought a doctor from abroad. Someone must ask the finance minister, where he spent his time after getting free from power?,” the former defence minister said. “Rented people cannot complete Imran Khan’s agenda. He must bring workers in the front,” stressed Asif.
PML-N never makes any political arrest
“We never made any political arrests during our tenures, nor did we change or overturn any government in Kashmir or KP,” said Asif. He said the PML-N, during its five-year tenure, never took any extreme steps that led to violence in the country. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDbgxUnUIzQ
