NSC expresses satisfaction over counter terrorism efforts

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) of the Cabinet which expressed satisfaction over the counter terrorism steps taken by the security institutions. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Joint Chief of Staff Committee, Naval Chief, Air Chief Marashal Sohail Amman, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister’s National Security Adviser Lt Gen Nasir Janjua attended the meeting. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the counter terrorism steps taken by the security institutions. The participants were briefed on the measures adopted for national security. The meeting further discussed the recommendations at the recently held nuclear security summit in Washington DC and expressed satisfaction over the international acknowledgement of the safety and security standards of Pakistan’s nuclear security regime and the National Command Authority.
