LAHORE (92 News) – Accountability court on Monday has dismissed the plea of Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif’s wife Nusrat Shehbaz seeking exemption from the hearings in money laundering case.

Announcing the reserved verdict, accountability judge Jawadul Hassan has directed to launch proceedings to declare Nusrat Shahbaz as proclaimed offender.

Accountability court had issued bailable arrest warrants for Shehbaz Sharif’s wife Nusrat Shahbaz and his daughter Rabia Imran over continuous absence in money laundering case.

The accountability judge has directed Nusrat Shahbaz and Rabia Imran to attend next hearing on September 29 at any cost.

On the other hand, a Lahore accountability court on Monday set November 11 for indictment of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, his son Hamza Shehbaz and other members of his family in a money laundering and assets beyond means case.

Shehbaz Sharif and his son were brought to the court in an armoured personnel carrier.

During the hearing, the judge asked about the representative of home secretary over which, the prosecutor said that no one has appeared from the side of home secretary so far.

The judge expressed displeasure over people crowding the courtroom and observed that he had called for people to be allowed inside the court to a certain limit. He called a short recess.

Resuming the hearing later, the court provided copies of approvers’ statements to Shehbaz, Hamza and other accused.

Subsequently, the judge has adjourned the hearing till November 11 when, the judge ruled, the court will frame charges against all accused.
