ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved to increase the prices of gas by 36 per cent. It further approved to raise the price of gas for Sui Northern by Rs 57.89 mmbtu and to decrease the gas price for Sui Southern by Rs 5.12-6 mmbtu. According to OGRA officials, the prices of northern will be implemented in the country. Sui Southern will earn Rs 35.4 billion while Sui Northern will earn Rs 39.5 billion operating profit from this decision. In a decision sent by OGRA, it has sought an advice from Petroleum Ministry by November 15. If federal government does not give any advice, OGRA will issue a final notification from November 14. It also rejected the application to receive Rs 21 billion from consumers in gas pilferage.
