OGRA chairman rules out possibility of decrease in gas prices

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – OGRA Chairman Masroor Khan on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of a decrease in the gas prices.

During a briefing to the Senate Standing Committee, he said that gas reserves are decreasing in the country. "For this reason, the prices cannot be reduced," he said.

The committee inquired about the import price of petrol and taxes.

The OGRA chairman said that petrol is available at the cheapest rate in Pakistan as compared to the region.

The NEPRA chairman said that the reason behind increase in the power rate is the old agreements.

During the meeting, Senator Kamil Agha and Sarfraz Bugti exchanged hot words over the issue.
