OGRA proposes Rs20.68 per litre decrease in petrol price

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed a Rs20.68 per litre decrease in the prices of petrol. According to a summary sent by the OGRA to Petroleum Ministry on Wednesday, a decrease of Rs33.94 per litre has been recommended in the price of high-speed diesel. Moreover, the OGRA has recommended an Rs44.07 per litre reduction in the price of kerosene oil. It has been proposed to decrease the light-diesel price by Rs24.57 per litre. After approval from Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Finance Ministry will announce the decrease in the prices of POL products on Wednesday. The industry sources said that due to the decline in oil prices in the global market, the petrol price in Pakistan will also be declined. According to the Finance Ministry, the benefit of decline in international oil prices will be transferred to the end user. The sources further revealed that the demand of petrol fell drastically over coronavirus. The petroleum experts of the country said that in order to provide relief to the people, the government of Pakistan should take the price of the petroleum products down.
