OIC delegation visits LoC, briefed about Indian ceasefire violations

MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) – A six-member delegation of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday visited the Line of Control (LoC) and briefed over Indian ceasefire violations. OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir Yousef al Dobeay led the delegation. The delegation lead by Yousef al Dobeay visited Chakothi sector of the LoC and briefed about the Indian ceasefire violations on the line of control. It will visit Chakothi sector of the LoC. Earlier today, PM Imran Khan has lauded OIC for extending unwavering support to the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). The prime minister expressed these views while talking to OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Jammu and Kashmir Yousef M Al Dobeay who along with a high-level delegation met him in Islamabad. PM Khan lauded the role of OIC particularly in the aftermath of India’s unilateral and illegal actions of 5th of August last year. During the meeting, the premier said that the world community should take notice of the Indian barbarism on Muslims. He informed the OIC secretary general that the people of Pakistan as well as Kashmiris look towards the OIC and Muslim Ummah for their active support in the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions. On the occasion, Al Dobeay thanked PM Imran Khan for his participation in the Makkah Summit last year. He reiterated OIC’s principled position on the internationally recognized Jammu and Kashmir dispute, which called for its peaceful settlement in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
